Dam it, part two

Sunny and warm here in Parker, Arizona on the Colorado River, near the Parker Dam.
Blue Water Casino (and parking lot campground) is on the water and there was lots of activity starting very early Sunday morning.  After breakfast we walked down to see what was going on.  There were many big diesel pusher motorhomes plus powerful, sleek boats and lots of people milling about.  Boat races!  We joined the spectators along the waterfront.  It was a challenge to keep Sid out of the water.  It's hard on a Lab to sit at the water's edge and not go in.
The announcer called the start of the race.  We heard the big engines rev and smelled the gas.  The boats roared past us.  Holy cow.  These weren't just boat races.  Each boat was towing a water skier.  The driver and spotter were wearing helmets due to the speed.  The water skier had a helmet on and was harnessed around the waist/bum area.  Wow, did they fly.

Later that day, after all the big rigs cleared out, we enjoyed the beach.  Water is still cold.  Day was hot, though and it was refreshing.

We thought we would try our luck at the casino that evening.  Here's the tally.  Casino-$40, Us-$0.
