Sedona, Arizona

As we drove north from Phoenix through the mountains, heading to Sedona, we had heard that the scenery was spectacular.  We kept thinking that, while the mountains were nice, they were not unique.  Then we crested a hill and saw Sedona.  Wow.  The red rock formations are incredible.

Hiking the trails north of our campsite
We are staying at a campground right in the town of Sedona-Rancho Sedona.  This is the most expensive campground we have ever stayed in.  The nightly fee is $46.  For two nights we are paying $92.

Our campsite
We hiked through the National Forest to get a close up view of the remarkable red rock formations.  Then, after Miller Time, we hoofed it into town to get a close up view of the tourist traps.  It is nice to be so centrally located.
